County Aging Programs
The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the Area Agency on Aging for the 10 county Atlanta Region, supports the development of a comprehensive regional service delivery system for older adults and their caregivers. ARC funds organizations in each of the Region's ten counties to develop and implement a coordinated aging program tailored to local needs. These ten County Based Aging Programs, or CBAs, nine of which are county governments and one a private non-profit agency, serve as community focal points and gateways to senior services in their respective counties.
In addition to funds allocated through ARC, County-Based Aging Programs receive support from county and city governments, United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta and various other sources. Together these funds allow for the provision of a broad base of services that span the continuum of care for older persons and their caregivers. This base of services includes the following:
- Information and Assistance
- Nutrition Education
- Case Management
- Coordination and Advocacy
- Neighborhood Senior Centers/ Multi-Purpose Senior Centers

- Congregate Meals
