Thanks Mom and Dad Fund

The Thanks Mom & Dad Fund® is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2009 Thanks Mom & Dad Fund® Grant Cycle.  Please note the deadline as close of business (5:00 PM) November 4th.  Agencies serving older adults who have 501(c)(3) designations are eligible to apply.

The Thanks Mom & Dad Fund^® was created in 2001 by the Atlanta Regional Commission in cooperation with the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. The fund works to improve the quality of life for older adults and honor the contributions older generations made to our lives and communities. Through its grants, the fund seeks to encourage innovation and increase services for older adults in Georgia. The fund makes one round of grants annually.

The annual Thanks Mom & Dad Celebration is the fund's principal fundraiser. Proceeds from this event, along with gifts from individual and corporate donors, are the main sources of funding for the fund's unrestricted gifts.
