Volunteer with the Atlanta Area Agency on Aging

Volunteering

Volunteers with the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) are a group of talented and experienced adults looking for meaningful ways to volunteer in their community. They come from all backgrounds and have in common a passion for the areas in which they serve and a strong desire to help others. Opportunities through the AAA focus on civic engagement activities that educate and empower older adults to maintain independent healthy lifestyles.

The program is flexible and volunteers choose opportunities most compatible with their skills and interests.  You don’t have to be an “expert” in the areas we provide volunteer opportunities.  The Atlanta Regional Commission provides volunteers with comprehensive training prior to their assignment, so you can choose to apply your skills in an area you are already familiar with or try something different and new that you find interesting.

Anyone 18 and older is eligible to apply.  Volunteers who are 55 and over have the opportunity to become members of Metro Atlanta RSVP. RSVP is the largest organization of 55+ volunteers in the nation.
